The Book of Micah
Jun 28, 2026
The Book of Micah is a book about judgment. God, the ultimate Judge, calls His people before Him in the heavenly courtroom to pronounce judgment on them for the grave injustice that’s rampant in their kingdoms at the hands of their politicians, prophets, and priests. Micah’s ministry to the southern kingdoms called them to look at the judgment of God poured out on the northern kingdoms and repent, so that God might spare the southern kingdoms from the same punishment. He gives a clear picture of the hope of restoration that will one day take place when God’s people repent and return to Him. In a stunning turn of events at the end of the book, we see the mercy of God on full display when the Judge becomes the Advocate.
