Called Ones

As we begin a new series through 1 Corinthians we’re going to see a pastoral letter written to encourage the followers of Jesus in Corinth to live and lean toward the better way of Jesus versus the ways the world is promoting. Before Paul gets into any coaching or correcting - he wants to re-anchor them into WHO they truly are thanks to Jesus. We’ve been seen, rescued, adopted and called. Before Paul corrects a single thing in this church, he reminds them of who they already are in Christ. The better way of Jesus doesn't begin with self-improvement — it begins with a call from God that we didn't initiate and don't have to earn.
