Servants Not Celebrities

As the Apostle Paul continues in this letter to the people of Corinth (ch. 4); he's going to push back on the call of celebrity and the pull to be noticed that was so much a part of their culture then and still is in ours today. Paul is inviting them (and us) into living for an audience of ONE. He gives them two words that are to capture their aim: servant and steward. Paul is aiming his life this way and he invites them to follow him as he follows after Jesus. God isn't asking you to live an impressive life. He's asking you to live a faithful one.
