Growing Up

As the Apostle Paul continues in 1 Corinthians he is challenging these believers to not stall out in their spiritual growth, but to keep growing up. Paul is pointing out that there is a thing as genuine Christian faith accompanied by genuine spiritual immaturity and it will play out in the way we relate with others guided by our own selfish desires. We’re called to live with the mind of Christ and that will influence how we relate with one another. Paul also invites them to build wisely on the foundation of Christ they have and to make a contribution with the way they serve and live. We’re called to be a spiritual contributor and not just a spiritual consumer.
