The Living Temple of the Living God

In reaching the climax of Paul’s appeal to the Corinthians he makes the profound statement that all of us who are in Christ are now His ambassadors, sent to live on mission. Paul now begins to challenge the Corinthians on what that means for them — specifically, to cut off all practices pertaining to idol worship. In his challenge, Paul’s exhortation to the Corinthian church is just as relevant to us today as it was to them. How do we rid our lives of idols, and how do we take seriously the responsibility of being the temple of the living God?
