Joining in the Triumph of Christ

There is perhaps no letter that reveals Paul’s pastoral heart more than 2 Corinthians, and this is on full display in chapter 2. Paul urges the Corinthian Christians to forgive in order to show the restorative power of the Gospel. He closes the chapter by creating a powerful metaphor of participating in the Triumph of Christ — a victory march signaling the reign of Jesus is here. For those of us in Christ, we are now commissioned to invite others to experience the joy of knowing Him.
