Moving Toward Maturity

When we first come to faith in Jesus there’s so much excitement simply because of the newness of it all, and yet over time our growth can become stagnant as we pursue our own life goals. It’s important to see that God has a goal for us, too: “To achieve unity in the faith, knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the fullness of Christ” (Eph. 4:11-13). As we celebrate Baptism Sunday, we look at four areas where we can step out of faith’s kiddie pool and move toward maturity.
