When God Says No

Skipping forward in the story of David, he has finally established his throne and is in a time of peace. David begins to make plans to honor God by building Him a house. God responds to David through the prophet, Nathan, and tells David he won’t be the one to do so. David’s response to God saying no gives us a powerful example of how we, too, can respond to God shooting down our plans.
