Healthy Correction Needed

Jan 25, 2026    Pastor Jack Schull

The fourth component of a cultivating Gospel-centered community is the ability to have healthy correction. We all make mistakes - forget who we are and sometimes choose to operate away from God’s best and ours. We will all need correction at times. It’s not a matter of IF, but WHEN. We must stay grounded in humility to be able to receive healthy correction, as well as when we give it. Correction is always anchored into the joy we have for folks and the hesed (sticky) love we have for them and our identity gifted us in Christ. Change can’t happen without healthy correction. The conviction of God always affirms His relationship to us and invites us to grow more into who we have been saved to become. Condemnation is not the same as godly and healthy conviction or correction.
